How to disable the automatic image resizer

From the WP Admin menu go to Chimera Themes > Theme Options > General Settings > Miscellaneous.

On the Miscellaneous tab near the bottom you have Image resizer settings. Uncheck the “Enable auto image resize ? ” option to disable the automatic resizer. ( Red checkbox means its disabled ; Green checkbox means its enabled).
Important: If you disable the automatic resizer you will have to add your post images using the standard WordPress Media Library.

Below you have a list of optimal sizes that the images should have:

Nivo slider images:

width: 980px;
height: any as long as all images have the same height;

Dynamic slider images:

Full width slides:
width: 980px;
height: any height;

For slides with title and content:
width: 520px;
height: any height; We recommend 340px;

Static featured area screenshot:

width: no more than 540px;
height: any height;

Slider shortcode images:

Full width slider:
width: 980px;
height: any as long as all images have the same height;

Medium size slider:
width: 670px;
height: any as long as all images have the same height;

Small size slider:
width: 300px;
height: any as long as all images have the same height;

Three column gallery shortcode images:

width: 306px;
height: 245px;

Four column gallery shortcode images:

width: 224px;
height: 134px;

Portfolio (big) shortcode images:

width: 266px;
height: 134px;

Alternate portfolio (small) shortcode images:

width: 165px;
height: 80px;

Blog posts thumbnails:

width: 200px;
height: 200px;
